On December 5, 2025, Grigol Zeraghia, Executive Director of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency, and Ramin Ismailov, Deputy Executive Director, met with Mamuka Rekhviashvili, Chairman of the Rustavi City Council, and his deputies. The meeting discussed the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency's participation in a series of measures to improve the city's environmental situation, jointly with the Rustavi City Hall, the Rustavi City Council, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
At the meeting, it was noted that, in accordance with the requirements of the Rustavi Air Quality Management Plan after 2020, despite the progress in self-monitoring and the installation and improvement of modern filtration systems at most of the city's enterprises, the environmental situation in Rustavi remains challenging. According to the participants, the goal of the meeting was to improve the environmental situation in Rustavi.
The Kvemo Kartli Development Agency will soon provide the Rustavi City Council with detailed information on all enterprises in the Rustavi industrial zone.
