GOPA Forum 28.03.2025 On March 27, 2025, representatives of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency participated in a seminar organized by the research organization GOPA at the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi as part of the EU technical assistance project "Support to Integrated Territorial Development of Georgia."
The seminar focused on assessing the investment needs of small and medium-sized cities in eastern Georgia. Of the six selected cities—Gardabani, Marneuli, Kaspi, Khashuri, Sagarejo, and Telavi—special attention was paid to discussing the problems and challenges facing each city. Furthermore, the meeting aimed to identify specific projects whose implementation could contribute to improving the urban environment and quality of life in these cities in the future.
Training under the S.S.I.P. College Modus program 09.12.2024 On November 28, 2024, a training course for students and residents was held in Rustavi, at the College Modus SSIP building, organized by the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency. The course aimed to increase awareness among students, entrepreneurs, and employees about Georgian labor legislation.
Meeting with representatives of HELVETAS GEORGIA 11.11.2024 On November 8, 2024, Mikhail Gurtskaya, Executive Director of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency, along with other agency staff, met with representatives of the Swiss development organization HELVETAS GEORGIA. HELVETAS GEORGIA is participating in the Local Economy Development Project (LEDP), which aims to improve economic opportunities for people living in Georgia's regions, including the Kvemo Kartli region. The meeting was introductory, and future cooperation between the organizations was discussed.
Georgian National Urban Forum 26.06.2024 On June 20, 2024, representatives of the Kvemo Kartli Regional Development Agency participated in the first Urban Forum, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and the Spatial and Urban Development Agency (LEPL) with the support of the United Nations-Habitat (UN-Habitat) at the Expo Georgia exhibition site.
The opening ceremony was attended by Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia; Katia Shafer, Interregional Advisor at UN-Habitat; Ioane Menabde, Head of the Spatial and Urban Development Agency; representatives of the central and local governments; and experts in the field.
